UK producer and DJ Craig Mars runs Mars Discotheque from the North-West — a solo platform dedicated to the underground house, disco, and techno lineage. Its flagship weekly broadcast, IDHTC (Ibiza Disco House Techno Club), pairs hardware-mixed audio with curated Ibiza archive footage from the nineties onwards.

A working DJ since 1998, Craig has held residencies and played across Liverpool, Manchester, and the wider UK circuit, with festival dates and Ibiza bookings throughout the years. His knowledge of house and techno runs deep, built on a record collection he's been digging into since the mid-nineties. Those crates run just as deep into golden-era hip-hop — A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, The Pharcyde, Gangstarr, J Dilla, The Roots — neo-soul from D'Angelo and Erykah Badu, and the Philly soul and raw 70s and 80s grooves that fed everything after.

In the booth, Craig mixes hybrid across turntables, CDJs, and external Effects. His DJ sets skillfully connect the nostalgic swing of New York disco, the rawness of Chicago house, and the industrial thrust of Detroit techno. Drawing inspiration from legendary Ibiza venues such as Space and Cox's Revolution, Sven Vath’s Cocoon, with iconic DJ sets from Richie Hawtin, Sasha, Dennis Ferrer, Carl Craig and Laurent Garnier and spending most Sundays at We Love Sundays, his performances capture the essence of open-air energy, where the music breathes and moves freely.

Stripped back where it needs to be, Craig ensures each set is emotive when the record calls for it, and always marries those moments to an uncompromising groove. Realness and crate depth have always been synonymous with proper house music. For Craig Mars, they're the whole point.

Before running Mars Discotheque solo, he taught at the Manchester School of Electronic Music, and from 2020 ran Trip Radio — a UK platform for up-and-coming DJs. Trip Radio is now dormant; its energy has been folded into Mars Discotheque's narrower, hardware-first focus.
